Heritage Walk

Our Heritage Walk begins at the back of the old court house in Forest St and continues down the path to the Five Mile Creek, then along the path towards the bluestone bridge.

A series of plaques record the stories of people who have lived and worked in this district.

There are also plaques and trees dedicated by local organisations in recognition of their contribution to our community.

Each autumn, new plaques and trees are dedicated and added to the walk.

For information about the Heritage Walk, please call in at the old court house on Wednesdays (Feb-Nov), phone (03) 5427 3361 (Wed), or send us a message.

Woodend & District Heritage Society acknowledge the Dja Dja Wurrung, Taungurung and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Peoples as the traditional owners of the land on which we meet, work and live. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
